PathLogic is a pre-seed FinTech company building the essential infrastructure for the modern personal injury ecosystem. We are solving a critical, multi-billion dollar flaw in the PI industry: the “compliance black box.” Patient non-compliance devalues cases, creating a misaligned system where patients under financial duress drop out of care, attorneys struggle with weakened cases, and funders invest without objective data.
Our solution, the CareAdvocate platform, transforms patient compliance into a direct financial instrument. Using our mobile app, patients earn points for compliant actions like daily check-ins and verified treatment attendance. These points accumulate a real cash value, redeemable at any time for an instant, non-recourse pre-settlement advance. This creates a powerful virtuous cycle that aligns the incentives of patients, attorneys, medical providers, and funders for the first time.
We have a verbal commitment from a major medical finance company to provide the initial patients for our pilot program and a clear path to revenue. We are now looking for a true partner to build this company with us.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on, visionary technical leader to join as a Co-Founder & CTO. You will be the first technical hire and will own the entire product and engineering vision from the ground up. This is a ground-floor opportunity to architect, build, and scale a platform that will become the new standard for how personal injury cases are managed and funded.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the architecture and hands-on development of the CareAdvocate MVP using a no-code/low-code platform like Bubble to achieve rapid speed-to-market for our pilot.
- Design and build the core components: the patient mobile app, the professional web dashboards, the backend database, and all associated workflows.
- Integrate with key third-party APIs for payments (e.g., Stripe Connect) and, in Phase 2, AI (e.g., Google Gemini).
- Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO, contributing to product roadmap, business strategy, and company culture.
- Use the data and learnings from the pilot to make the critical decision of when to scale on the no-code platform vs. rebuilding with a custom-coded solution.
- Recruit, lead, and mentor our future engineering team.
Who You Are
- A Pragmatic Builder: You have experience building and launching web and mobile applications, ideally with a strong understanding of no-code/low-code platforms like Bubble. You prioritize speed and validation over technical purity.
- A Product-Minded Leader: You’re not just a coder; you’re passionate about solving the user’s problem. You can think strategically about the product roadmap and user experience.
- A Systems Thinker: You can grasp the complex, multi-sided nature of our platform and design a system that is secure, scalable, and reliable.
- An Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are excited by the ambiguity and challenge of an early-stage startup. You are resilient, communicative, and ready to do whatever it takes to win.
- Bonus Points: Experience in FinTech, LegalTech, or HealthTech, and a working knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
